I simply cannot get any of the recent builds to install correctly on my
server. The first part goes fine, but then I get the
"Service 'Squeezebox Server' (squeezesvc) failed to start. Verify that
you have sufficient privileges to start system services' error message.

I got the same error with SC startup on boot. Restarting SC works
without error. This just happened so I'll let you know if it continues.
I'm using Version: 7.3.3 - 27044.
I also just started using the Server Power Control (v20090615.00)
plug-in a few days ago FWIW.

Right now I have downloaded the latest beta. Then I attempted to do a
new scan but that did not work. Whatever I tried on the settings gui
nothing happened. Dow anyone know how to run the scanner manually. A
programm named 'scanner.pl' as stated out in the wiki does not exist.

I'm having even more scanner problems with r27417 than before. If I have
"Automatically detect changes" switched on, then the auto-deleter
removes things as fast as the scanner can add them. Even if I manage to
get a scan to run the library's empty again in a few minutes. If I
switch that option o

What does the Windows event viewer say about this failure? And what about
server.log?
