Somehow the transcoding does not work as expected, so I reopened the
bug, see there for more information. Maybe it should be a new ticket or
is no bug at all? If the ticket should remain closed, I would be happy
to discuss the problem here.

I've recently turned on Server Settings Advanced Software Updates
Automatically check for software updates but dont believe this has
anything to do with the controller firmware update, only the server.

It's most likely your files' tags: others have seen this too. It was due to
their files listing different album IDs in the musicbrainz tags. Not a bug, but
a feature...
Are there any plans around re-releasing the revamped 7.4 for the
ReadyNAS?

No final date, but we hope to release 7.4.1 soon. Until then just use the 7.4.1
nightly build.

I'm finding (in SBS 7.4) that the MusicIP mix flag only shows up on

I'm finding the same things all files are fine in the MusicIP GUI and
appear in mixes, but in SC/SS only the MP3 files have the M flag, Apple
Lossless (m4a) do not. Don't think it is new in 7.4 though - I had same
problem in 7.3.3 too

how very strange, your server should have pushed a new version down to
you by now.
The check for updates does include firmware as far as I know, and I
believe it checks every 24 hours or when the server starts.
If it still doesn't do it, force the Controller to connect to
MySqueezebox.com (or
