Over the weekend I tried to finally get 7.5 embedded to work on my
Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS distribution.
I did a completely clean install (after removing anything Squeezebox) -
no success. Something's broken here, maybe a missing dependency?

Yes, that's exactly the problem you're seeing. mysb.com doesn't know the
difference between the two branches, thus always returns the update url for the
"normal" 7.5 trunk version. I'd sugges
Release 8381 for SB-Radio:
- Stopped the alarm while fading in. After that i tried to play a song
from my library. The song started playing but at the loudness level
where the previous alarm sound has been stopped?! I had to push the
volume up button to let the volume level "jump" to the correct

IMHO it's not worth the hassle: the problem is that both version use the same
internal version number. I'd have to change SBS and mysb.com code for a few
