I hope not, because it would be a step in the wrong direction; unnecessary
extra logic at scan time, that also enourages bad practice. No other apps that

Right, the SqueezePlay-based devices insist on finding servers by

It is in the unstable (beta)
Ok, now i feel stupid:
All i had to do is to open udp:3483 on my server. tcp:3483 was open and
for some reason my transporter/boom/sb3 all worked just fine with the
udp port closed.
*bummer* :-)

How did you get the 7.5.1 radio firmware? Mine is on 7.5.0-r8673
(downloaded from mysqueezebox.com -> german data center)
I just wiped my 7.6.0 configuration + added only a small music library
(one artist)... still the same problem :-(

Hmm.. do i need some special firmware on my Radio? I simply upgraded it
to 7.5 using mysqueezebox.com..
I'm still used to the 'old' squeezebox-firmware model
(transporter/boom) where slimserver is able to provide new firmware
images. This doesn't seem to be possible anymore with the radio :-(

Afaik there is no 7.6.0 firmware for the Radio. My combination of 7.5.1
(Radio) and 7.6.0 (SBS) works fine, though. :)

Works just fine with mine.
A bit behind, but, well, when I tried
I just got myself a SB-Radio a few hours ago.
While mysqueezebox.com seems to work fine, i have problems connecting
to my 7.6.0-r30692 server:
Switching to 'my music' gives me an 'Problem Connecting' error message,
however: Slimserver does SEE the Squeezebox and i can play my local
music on the
I moved my music library and changed location then it started a scan,
but it did not pick up any playlist.
I have to run a separate playlist scan.

One last comment: it does seem odd, from a user perspective (as opposed
to from a relational db perspective) that the listing logic of VA +
ALBUMARTIST + "foreign" genre can return albums with no tracks. At
least one user interface, iPeng, interprets that as a loss of server
connectivity and disp
I had Squeezeplay pointed at a radio station, switched it back to the
SBS, which then started eating 100% CPU. I left it, went for a smoke,
and it's settled down again, after rescanning more than 400 times in 20
minutes. No changes made to the music collection all day.

I'm checking out 7.6.0-30703-FreeBSD on a "spare" box where I stash the
backup copy of my music collection. I know the auto-scanning is a work
in progress (eagerly awaiting the kevent module) but I'm seeing some
odd messages in the logs. There seem to be niggles with file or
directory names which

Is there a URL for development versions? I'm running 7.6.0 and
although I didn't get any firmware updates on my boom or duet (haven't
checked my radio) - it would be nice to know if I should expect a
firmware update. I might even be more inclined to upgrade if there is

Who am I on 'LAST.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/siduhe)?

it's good... got the odd dodgy track tho
Greetings,
Isn't there a link somewhere that shows the firmware version of each
device that corresponds to the version of SBS? Can someone refresh my
memory?
Thx

I respond to the message because I am not sure to understand.
I search why it is not possible to have podcast menu on root menu of my
SB Boom. I can read podcast from My App, but not from root.
Is it what you've talked ? if yes, is the bug is corrected ? how can I
read bug 15582 ?
