Now that I think about this again... Could this work?
If a long button press sets a preset, how would it be recalled? A
short press on the alphanumberic keypad is used

I don't understand how a problem like this can just sit in limbo for so
long. The remote used to set and recall favorites through 'hot keys'.
That was changed when SbS went to per-player presets. But nobody ever
addressed the IR end of things.

I assume you have checked so you don't have a saved playlist that refers
to files in the Music_new directory ?
I've had similar strange situations during development but it has
always been caused by me having a playlist that pointed to files
outside the main music folder.

It should warrant a bug report, but nowadays, is someone paying
attention ?

Its a local NAS device. 7.5 worked just fine with it, but 7.6 won't
scan with exactly the same path and setup. No permissions are
necessary for the NAS and both SB and NAS are behind the
router/firewall. I've tried mapping the path to a drive. despite the
mapped drive working just fine for eve

I've deactivated all third party plugins and most of the logitech
plugins and deleted everything in the cache. Music is all in the same
NAS folder that worked just fine under 7.5. But it won't scan at all
under 7.6. Any other suggestions? Log should be attached.
