I am using the uPnP server features in LMS 7.7 beta with a uPnP client
(Naim NDX). I also have Squeezebox servers around the house for casual
listening and it will be a great solution for having a single music
database/server for both Hi-FI and squeezebox.
The one issue I have with LMS is that
Alright!!!... with today's LMS build r33402 I can finally browse and
play content from the LMS server using DLNA UPnP clients. I can now
play videos and music using the Revue and WMP. I guess the branches
were merged. So far... so good. Thanks.

Actually, I haven't
As most here know, there is a beta release of 7.7.
However, it seems difficult to figure out what the goal is of this
release.
Besides a different name... ;-)

What are the main differences compared to 7.6 ?

i'm actually glad to see a rush to get 7.7 out, and if it works well
with the revue i just might buy one.
i assume that when 7.7 is official, 7.6.x will be over and done, and
will be the last audio only version of server, yes? fine by me.
