But, you probably guessed it already :-) you could use Whitebear instead
of the LMS plugin.
Whitebear offers tracks in three formats (namely L16,

/music/$id/download.mp3?bitrate=320
The extension provided after download determines the desired format,
and the bitrate param is valid for MP3 (a quality param is also
supported). Obviously you will need LAME installed.
yum install perl-Time-HiRes was it ,and possibly perl-CGI .
Now it runs, finds players and scans complete without errors .
Note to self: cp does not preserve timestamps by default :-/ new music

Background , my NIC on my old mobo broke a year ago, so I haven t used
WOL for a while..
Now I'm fiddling with my new server, that has it wol working fine .
To be really sure I connected all my players to the new server and
played music for a while, the
