I had a similar issue last night - changed time stamps on all tracks for
which I had no artwork, added folder.jpg to the subdir and then ran a
rescan - artwork wasn't picked up.

How do you handle the modification time stamps ? Some prefer to preserve
them to not muck up the new music list ( which really should hinge on
when added to the dB or creation time ).
If you are browsing with iPeng you may have to flush its own cache with
enough new and changed scan's accumulated

I know, we've discussed this a few times in the past, but I want to get
back to the "status quo" to maybe help to solve the problem.
And I know, there is no "official" development anymore, but I would be
very thankful this could be fixed!
