Applied some Windows updates this morning and SC no longer starts again with the same problem. Ran netstat -ab to file and searched for 3483 - looks like it is amongst very many UDP ports claimed by dns.exe. Can the port claimed by SC be changed to avoid this? -- GrahameP

Thanks for the info. In the meantime I've just downloaded 28124 (10th August), uninstalled, rebooted and installed this version and it starts up without problems - fingers crossed! Grahame. -- GrahameP Graha

to log in now, is this significant?) and I've tried directly after a reboot. Watching in Services I see it starts the SqueezeMySQL service OK, but bombs out after taking about 83K of memory. I've just downloaded a fresh copy manually from the server and installed again
