The culprit is this line:
Code:
$prefs-setValidate({ 'validator' = 'intlimit', 'low' = 1024, 'high' =
65535 }, 'httpport');
Probably because you need to be root to set it any lower, but we should
still allow it anyway.

I think the only issue is the bug where the version of the Storable
binary differs from the Perl module, and I think this is an Apple bug.
It can be fixed by doing 'sudo cpan Storable'. If you're having other
issues, please post a log.

A stream failure would stop as you described, but shouldn't blank the
screen or anything like that. It could be related to the LastFM
plugin, though, if it's doing anything special when there's a stream
error.

Being able to use that Nokia 770 app sounds cool, but is the amount of
work worth it when you can very easily use the Nokia 770 skin? I don't
know. This would maybe be a good project for some Nokia 770 lover out
there. :)

to the WMC web server will appear
here, try it from a web browser and see. It just defaults everything
to unknown. I suppose a fully-compiant device that advertises itself
as a media renderer will let WMC pull these details, but we don't do
that and it doesn't seem to really matter anyway.

It's probably the caching, wait a bit and see if it appears. If not, it
could be a problem on their end. RadioTime provides all the content,
the plugin doesn't do much (it's just a generic XML browser).

I'm confused, how do a few selections pass if you've paused playback?
Are you using the most recent nightly?
--
andyg
andyg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3292
View this thread: http
OK I see what you mean. Pausing is disallowed when listening to radio,
so pressing pause actually stops playback. It should just work like
play if you unpause it.

First, make sure you're not running the latest 6.5 nightly as it's
currently broken.
Second, run with --d_http_async and it'll let you know which DNS server
it's using to lookup those addresses.
--
andyg
andyg's Profile
At startup, SlimServer tries to lookup www.google.com using that DNS
server, does it report success or failure?
So you require everything to go through your proxy server? Shouldn't
your internal DNS forward requests to your external DNS server?
--
andyg
Do those dropouts only occur during a rescan? Try setting the new
perfwarn option. You'll need the latest nightly for this.
./slimserver.pl --perfwarn=0.5

OK so it sounds like what you really need is a Radio Tune In option
for SqueezeNetwork so you can quickly play something. Currently the
only way to add something to play on SN is via the Favorites page. I
will open an enhancement for adding this.
