If it were me, I would schedule a scan for overnight when one is

You say you have tried different versions of Squeezeplay. Am I missing
something ? I thought there was only the one beta version of
Squeezeplay the software player but ongoing versions of Squeezebox
Server ?

I run on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and it works fine. You might
right click on the icon then select Properties/Security and look at the
permissions settings. You might need to adjust them. When I do that
allow is checked for all except special at the bottom

I run Windows 7 Home Premium w SBS 7.5.3 and Squeezeplay 7.5.0 on the
same PC no problems here.
