The server did not stop properly and did not release the port. The best
way to fix this is to do a reboot.

The page would not load, so it is not a browser issue. After deleting
the directory the reinstall worked, but I had to redo all my
preferences.

On my Mac (10.5 Intel), I tried 7.3 to see if the replacement for
SoftSqueeze was there. It was not. And 7.3 breaks the XM plugin (even
after upping the version). So I need to go back to 7.2.
But if I reinstall 7.2, the server Web pages will not load properly.
How do I recover?

The one on the 7.0 server page is only a jnlp file. I would like a Mac
app. softsqueeze.sourceforge.net only has 3.5 available.

So that is fixed. But when I hit the now playing button in softsqueeze
to see this, softsqueeze hangs in the sense that I cannot use the arrow
keys to do anything.

When I start the beta 3 server (SUSE 10.1), it ignores all my old
playlist entries! My playlists are blank. Why?
I made a new entry, and it looks like the old entries (which are still
in my playlist directory)

I have the rhapsody server running on my PC, and it can connect and get
music. SlimServer (on Linux) sees it and I see the menu and stations.
But when I try to play a station on SoftSqueeze, I get Connection is
no longer able to work.

If you listen to a Rhapsody radio station, and hit pause, and leave it
that way until a few selections pass, and then hit pause again to
resume the playing, the displayed track information is incorrect (it is
the last thing played before the pause) until after the first track
plays.

I just installed Comcast Rhapsody which gives me 25 songs a month and
the radio stations on my PC. But I haven't a clue as to how to get it
to work with 6.3 on my Linux machine.
What firewall ports do I need to open, and how do I access Rhapsody
from my SqueezeBox?

I followed the instructions in the wiki. The UPNP Server is running as
is the Windows client. But my Linux 6.3 slim server still does not see
Rhapsody. Do I have to run Rhapsody on my Linux machine?
Also, what firewall ports do I need to open?

I just installed the latest 6.3 build, and now I am unable to connect to
any of the radio stations on Rhapsody. They are shown, but when I hit
play is says it is unable to connect.

It works with the real squeezebox. But I selected the Rhapsody server
box that said to convert things to mp3 except WMA, so shouldn't
softsqueeze work too? Certainly for my ripped mp3 files

You can only use the brightness when connected to slimserver. But I
managed to restore the default firmware by powering while pressing the
add button. But it is scary that the firmware got zapped.

What would cause the navigation messages on the squeezebox screen to be
garbled? For example, the connect to prompt started with 4 characters
above 128?
If I could not connect to the server, and the server did not see the
Squeezebox, how could the firmware have been reloaded?

It would be really nice if the search feature told you the artist and
album it found it under.
After reverting to 6.2, it rebuilt the library last night, and it
appears in the proper places.

I ripped a new Cd by Rawsthorne, Alan (Artist).
If I do an advanced search, and put Rawsthorne in the artist field, it
finds the album. But if I browse by artist, it is not listed under the
R's.
What causes this? How do I fix it?

I see an untitled.m3u file appear, but since it does not have the right
name (and I have named it!), it gets overwritten with the next playlist
that I save.
What am I doing wrong?

The 1.00a version does work with 6.5.
But I am still not happy. 6.5 cures the bad problem I had with pause
not resuming properly, but it does not yet display the ID tags for mp3
broadcasts.
Is there a list somewhere of the new features in 6.5 so that I can test
them?
