I too am having the same problem on Ubuntu 7.10 with the latest squeezecenter downloaded this morning. This is a completely new install on a new machine of both Ubuntu and squeezecenter. I am also using a standalone MySQL install (5.0.45).
The scan seems to have picked up the music that was identified by individual playlists (m3u), but has not picked up music that does not have an associated playlist. Help is appreciated.
