My problem was messed up file names and path names (folder names)the meta data in the files just worked when I fixed the names. My bug was in short "why does sbs care what file name is if it can be found by the os how can sbs miss it ?" If a file has metadata the names are not that important.

7.5.0 stable still has the problem with umlauts when scanning for such files in existing playlists. You can still create the playlist with files containing umlauts but as soon as the list is saved sbs seems to not find them again and throws them out of the playlist, after a rescan at the latest.
