Erland I start it like this:
[root@hal ~]# service squeezeboxserver start
After an upgrade due to that for the last 2 years the automatic start
after upgrade is broken for my platform , bug is filed.
(The restart command does not work properly ) .
Voted on bug..

did not conect the dots ? and older versions of ubuntu have not
