It may ignore hidden dir's in linux it is any directory or file with a
"." in front worth a try ?

I was just reminded of this pref while looking through a server.prefs
file. People have been seeking ways to exclude directories on USB
drives from TinySC scanning, but a quick forums search shows me that it
hasn't been mentioned in that regard. Would it work?
