I don't have an xbox360. The PS3 is ok with avi/divx files using LMS if
they are small enough. Thats about it. It wouldn't play my small m2ts
files, just showed up as unsported. I've found that the PS3 likes m2ts
files the most, so I can't imagine it's the PS3 and the same small m2ts
file

What's the status of Xbox 360 and PS3 with LMS? Working OK?PS3 not working
for me. It finds the server and can navigate the folders
but everything is showing as 'Unsupported Data'.

I'm toying with the idea of giving it a try this weekend. Does it
support VOB files?

It successfully completed a scan of my videos, for what that's worth.

that is fine, but can you also play the files from a connected client?

Yes, I can play them, although I'm getting mixed results during
playback. Getting a lot of choppy video playback and unsynced audio.
Looks like it could be the client, though.

I'm missing the point? Does it transcode or something?

I think the point is if you have a client that can't access a network
share and can only use a DLNA or UPnP server.

Just out of interest, since the video scanning doesn't work very well
for my MythTV video library, has anyone else tried LMS and got it to
work satisfactory for videos so it works good enough so you will
consider using it ?
If it's not working satisfactory, what's your issues ? bugs ? usability
Hi Erland
I would like to use it for videos also. I have reported my problems
here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=659633postcount=41
Briefly, the problems I had was: Using I LMS was unable to play the
files on my Samsung Blueray player (C6900). I could browse the files
