Does anyone know what the number of Artists on the bottom left of the
GUI, and in library statistics, means? It bears no relationship to
anything I can calculate. According to filters I created in foobar2000
for my flac tags I have 624 Composers, 386 Conductors, 658 Album Artists
(some of whom
SInce the introduction of 'Additional Browse Modes' in 7.9 I have been
using the LMS menus more than I used to (I depended on Custom Browse
menus for many menus). However, the Artist (and All Artist) menus seem
to omit TrackArtists.
I have many tracks (flacs) with one or more Artist tags, but
I am running the latest nightly on Win7.
I just discovered I am missing artists in 'artist' and 'album artist'
view i.e. when I scroll to find 'Bob Dylan' I just see 'Bob Dylan and
Grateful Dead'.
I have to use search to find 'Bob Dylan' and to be able to see his main
albums.
check your tags especially artist sort artistsort and albumartist sort
albumartistsort .
Is he under D as in Dylan , when you have found and album and a track
you can check the tags via LMS own web-UI and see what LMS have scanned
.
LMS uses the tags for sorting and displaying .
You're right! Found 'Bob Dylan' between 'Dyke' and 'Dylan Gardener'.
As I never used artist sort tag I am confused.

It's enough that one file with Bob Dylan does , could be a compilation
or anything ,then all Bob Dylan gets sorted that way...
