The workaround is to delete all pdk folders at start up via a scheduled

A much simpler and safer way to do this is to update to 7.3.4.
Your script might try to delete anything from any program. Eg. Office will
write to those folder
I'm already on 7.3.4. See previous posts bug log for history etc etc.

I should mention specifically that it is the squeezesvc that crashes not
squeezemysql.

What anti-virus software are you running? It's not necessarily whether
you have an actual virus scan running, but some programs block SC's
access to key files if they have on-access type functionality. That
said, your error message is slightly different from the standard where
anti-virus is
AVG 8.5.283 and I do have the resident shield is active. Though I have
an exception of C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\

Rebooted... services came up ok -- this time.
I'll report back if it fails again.

I did a reboot and it failed to start the squeezesvc again.
squeezemysql came up fine.
All the same error messages in the SC log and XP log.
