For the last couple of days my SlimServer 6.5 keeps crashing randomly
with the following error - is this a known issue?
This is still occurring with last night's build.

I'm having a very similar problem.

I should mention specifically that it is the squeezesvc that crashes not
squeezemysql.
Here's the exact error message that appears in the log after a crash.
[09-08-19 01:01:49.3247] Slim::Schema::Storage::throw_exception (81)
Error: Error executing 'SELECT me.name, me.value FROM metainformatio
What anti-virus software are you running? It's not necessarily whether
you have an actual virus scan running, but some programs block SC's
access to key files if they have "on-access" type functionality. That
said, your error message is slightly different from the standard where
anti-virus is in
AVG 8.5.283 and I do have the resident shield is active. Though I have
an exception of "C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\"

I'll try to uninstall AVG and see if it will still crash. Will report

You should update to the latest nightly 7.3.4 just to check it's not
something inherent in that build.
Otherwise, the only other post I can find with an identical error
message is this one:

The other thing to check is that

Version: 7.3.4 - 28180 @ Wed Aug 19 03:01:41 PDT 2009
Upgraded the only plugin I use WeatherTime.

I'll report back if it fails again.
Thanks for your help.

You may want to contact supp...@slimdevices.com - perhaps likely to get
tier support than here.
If you have no firewall and antivirus running at all (not even Windows
firewall) and no third party plugins enabled (I would disable
Weathertime just to rule it out) then there's some kind of conflic
I've uninstalled the WeatherTime plugin and rebooted a few times... so
far so good.
I've also sent a request for help to the support id you provided.
Will update on my progress.
Thanks for the assistance.

A much simpler and safer way to do this is to update to 7.3.4.
Your script might try to delete anything from any program. Eg. Office will

I'm already on 7.3.4. See previous posts & bug log for history etc etc.
