FileHandle module looks ok - version difference compared to my system because you have Perl 5.8.8. In Perl 5.8.8 FileHandle is in CPAN whereas in 5.10 it is a core module - so there is still the faint possibility of omission somehow. Looking at the code changes between 7.5.x and 7.6.0. Song.pm

I tried bitrate limiting this usually invokes both flac and lame as I have many flac files. 24/96 to 24/48 uses SOX and flac . I think I will try with ALAC and AAC and some other filetype setting. But first I should try with a debug log output and attach to the bug report. -- Mnyb -
