Michael,
I've not had any problems at all since I fixed my server.pref file. I
did try my old prefs with the latest build and it behaves as before.

Craig - bug 6870 was filed due to other, probably related issues with player
settings. I've (hopefully) fixed this in change 17009. Could you please give it
another try?

I tried it with Firefox and it was the same but I have got to the bottom
of the problem. I moved my server.prefs so it couldn't be found and it
worked ok. So I looked into my old prefs file and found that some
players had enties like this
menuItem: 1
- NOW_PLAYING
- BROWSE_BY_ALBUM

Hi Michael,
I'm still seeing the same effect with the 29th nightly. I also tried
using the classic skin and the same thing happened.
Any other suggestions?

I'd bet it's a caching issue. Or are you talking about the dialog window?
Haven't touched the latter.

No, I was talking about the menus. I've cleaned out my cache (except
cookies) removed a bunch of plugins and restarted the server. I can
make changes to the kitchen player via the web UI and I can see them
change on my study player immediately.
But does it change on the kitchen player, too?
Ok Michael I will do, So how come it didn't affect the TP?
That's still a mystery to me.

I'll put tomorrows nightly on and let you know.
Just a little aside, as part of testing I disabled Custom Browse and
this dialog is not sizing properly.

This is reflected in the web interface and on the players themselves.

Hey, I wish it would! Yesterday I wanted to add an item to all players.
Had to do it five times.
What appears to be happening is...
I make a change to a player's menus, then when I change the player in
the drop down list, the new menu setting is being written to the prefs
file under the player I'm moving to as well as the one that I'm
leaving, so when the page is redrawn for the new player,
Does that explain it any better?
This does explain it very well - filed as bug 6820. Thanks!
