Well one other problem is that somehow the label for one of the
favorites (what is displayed on the player and in the web browser)
doesn't match the URL it actually points to.
Unfortunately I don't know how exactly I got this to happen, or how to
replicate it.

OK, it just happened again, here's how: I had tuned into a Real Player
stream, and it started getting garbles. I tried to switch to one of my
favorites, hit play, and apparently the URL for the Real Player stream
got inserted into that favorite.
