To install from CPAN manually:
sudo cpan YAML::Syck
You will need gcc installed.

I will check this evening if a corresponding module is shown in yast. I
did not find a YAML::Syck rpm at www.rpmfind.net for Suse only for
Fedora, Red Hat and Mandriva. A short search in google shows that for
Suse exists a modul "Ruby" which seems to be related to YAML
