I've now been running one squeezebox and two copies of softsqueeze (one
on the server and one on my desktop PC) for four hours (after globally
excluding myi and myd files from Virus scan).
I'm going to try a simple pattern match next just to exclude them in
the %windir%\temp folder to see if that
I've excluded MYI and MYD files, and it has now been running for 12
hours without a fault but only with a single unit. I'm going to set up
Softsqueeze on a couple of PCs and repeat the test.

I haven't been running any anti-virus since shortly before my upgrade to
6.5... I've been seeing this crash periodically since then, without
much rhyme or reason, so I'm positive that there is a related condition
separate from virus scanning. Is it possible that scanning or running a
random mix
Well I've excluded MYI files from scanning on write, and last night I
got the same error after 13 tracks.

Luckily I AM my IT department. Let's hope someone doesn't concoct some
virus that tries to distribute its payload via an MYI file.
I'm a bit loathe to disable scanning on write on any type of file,
having read through one of the other threads on this, the developers
really do need to get onto who
Working before is irrelevant. (which isn't specifically noted in the
release notes, but it is part of the new separated scanning process).
Mysql has an issue with files that get locked up by a virus scanner.
If you are able, please have your scanner ignore *.MYI files for the
on-access scanner.
Yes, Virus scan Enterprise, but it doesn't show any alerts in its logs,
and I never had this issue until upgrading to 6.5. I've been running
Slimserver for a while now.
