I am trying to play Sirius Radio via SoftSqueeze 3.3 & Slimserver 6.5.1.
SoftSqueeze seems to launch mplayer OK, but mplayer stops with a
"Terminal type 'unknown' is not defined" message. Is this a problem
with the arguments SoftSqueeze is passing to mplayer, or do I need a
different mplayer vers

per my previous comment, I just checked and I think I installed the
newer version incorrectly. I'm really using version 2.8.

I just installed softsqueeze and I am playing all the flac files in my

the file and then recoding it as an mp3 before playing it? I have the
server set NOT to decode the flac file on the server, so if this is

OK, I'm too lazy to crawl the source, so shoot me. :)
Is there a way (pref setting, switch, etc.), perhaps undocumented or
unsupported, to configure the current Softsqueeze to emulate the less
capable SqueezeBox/G display and supporting hardware?

You can enable logging/tracing in the Java control panel applet.
Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel.
Open up the Java control panel applet and look on the advanced tab.
Expanded the debugging item and you'll see the options I'm talking
about.
This will cause a log file to be written to
C:\Doc
Uploaded Softsqueeze 3.3 and newer version of Java. Using 6.51 on WinXP,
Softsqueeze appears active, but song never actually starts playing. Any
suggestions?

How do I open the config/pref dialog. All I see is a transporter and a
remote-none of them have buttons that lead to such a dialog.

Open the Softsqueeze prefs/config dialog. On the basic tab, where it
says "Slimserver hostname", put in the I.P. address of your server.
Click OK.

I get a looking for slim server please wait message that is eternal.
Slim server is running. The computer I am putting 3.3 on is on wireless
and sees the computer that has slim server.
A squeezebox is also on and running.
How do I get 3.3 to see the server and work?
