I think I found something interesting. I can have all my playlists
complete with 7.6.1 v.3304 for Mac OSX version. I have a Netgear NAS
Ultra Touch 2 Plus and I installed the same 7.6.1 version. I applied
for the NAS the same Mac OSX setup to scan my music and iTunes

Any chance that the slowdown situation could be due to database locking
problems? Not timing out (which, from past experience, I believe is a
fatal error) but just having to wait until they clear. Could long waits
be logged at the debug level?

I must say: no. I went through the list of recent bug edits, and there's
only a bunch of scanner related reports, some of which might even be
dupes... I guess I'll have to go through those endless threads myself..

If there is a release candidate I'm willing to test that one 'in
production' with my real library (and family).
Non release candidates only get installed in my testing environment
with 100tracks so wouldn't be real testing.

Agree. That bug with the playlist folder pointing to the same directory
as the music folder is one I filed more than three months ago and on
the day of the release somebody even wanted to close it. I guess its
one of the things that cause scanner trouble and now it's finally
getting some attention

I currently get the feeling most non beta testers which have tried 7.6
and had some big problem with it are trying to revert back to 7.5.5
without further interest in spending time investigating and finding t
Unfortunately, it didn't work. Now I have 0 artist 0 songs and no
playlists...My library contains 25 000 songs and more than a 1000
artists and 36 playlists. All my playlists, at 98%, are ALAC files
except a few in AAC. I think I must wait the next update from Logitech.

what I was asking for was a list of outstanding bugs.
I'm not arguing that there aren't bugs - I'd just like to know what they are,
so I don't end up raising the same is
