Dear Flip Flip,
After installing SSODS 3.20 (and uninstalling 3.19 first) I get the
following error message: (see below)
Could it be that audio:scan module 0.23 is still included in SSODS
instead of 0.27?? thx.

I confirm this as well (same setup as #1, DS-107+).

please do:
/volume1/SSODS/bin/perl [ENTER]
use Audio::Scan;
print $Audio::Scan::VERSION;
[CTRL-D]
It should print "0.27".
Maybe there's still a CPAN/Audio/Scan.pm file (ssctrl should delete
this, though).
Maybe a packed the wrong file.. I'll check that soon.

Check out flipflip
7.4 still has Audio::Scan 0.26 (I haven't updated to 0.27 yet).
And an easier way to test module versions is: perl -MAudio::Scan\ 999

Nice one! :-)

Check out flipflip's 'SlimServer On DiskStation (SSODS)'

I replaced both scan.pm and scan.so from SSODS 3.19 (version 0.25), but
both commands give me the following:
DiskStation> /volume1/SSODS/bin/perl
use Audio::Scan;
print $Audio::Scan::VERSION;
0.25
DiskStation> perl -MAudio::Scan\ 999
Can't locate Audio/Scan.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/lib/p
Okay, there are old files in 3.20 because the build script misteriously
did not sync the stuff from the build machine to the machine on which
the .pat etc. are build..
I'm currently uploading 2.21, which should complete in 1-2 hours.
I tested it on a 107+ with 7.4-28065 and it seems to work.

I upgraded to 3.21 but ran into the following.
SSODS does no recognize the new naming from
"squeezecenter-7.4-x.tgz" to "squeezeboxserver-7.4-28065.tgz"
Is that correct?

Okay, I spoke too soon: When I start SC from SSODS it says that it
failed, and the log file shows all the entries above - but SC

Thanks for the update - really hope to get a chance to test SC 7.4
soon. When will the module be downgraded (i.e. when

Why do we need the mysql module anyway? I thought that we're using

Hmm.. it looked good here I think. I didn't check the web ui or any
functionality. I've just seen that it was still running

7.4 is going to still use MySQL.

I installed SSOTS 3.21 with an older trunk build, I believe 28065 and it
works, Ok
Had not time to get into much detail since I did it late last night but
this morning I got music out of it, so it got the basic staff right, for
sure :-)
Thanks flipflip

ssods-3.21 (now 3.22) is for 7.4-trunk. It doesn't work for 7.3.x
because there are a couple of too new Perl modules in it.
ssods-3.18 should be used with 7.3.x.
I adjusted the text on my page accordingly.
I still have some strange issues with some versions of 7.4:

I get an "I don't think so" page when I try to download SSODS 3.22 from

SSODS 3.22 did the trick - 7.4-28065 is running now. But, as you wrote,
it doesn't scan :-(
Is there anything I can do to make it scan - i.e. where do I put the
