I've had this issue with remote players too for years and years. I gave
up and paid the extra to get my own fixed ip. What the developers don't
seem able to grasp is that they might actually sell more hardware if
people could use it remotely. They also don't seem able to grasp that

I tend to throw out the patches
DNS resolution has been a bane to SqueezePlay since day one. Half the
time it can't even find mysqueezebox.com.

The bug has been reported since 2005. I know some of the devs go through
the threads so I figured this would be the best place to try and get
something out of it as I saw the bug before I posted. I feel like it
should only need the ability to use a full keyboard to input letters in
as well as
