The new controller does not yet support a static network in the setup
procedure ( bug is filed ) .
However it is possible to edit the interfaces file on the controller as
it was with the old software.
Complete the whole resistance is futile.. style setup procedure with
dhcp on.

7.4 fw is using ifup and ifdown to manage network interfaces and this
line is needed so the interface that was used before comes up again when
controller wakes up from suspend or when it is rebooted.
