At OSDC last week there were some good talks on fostering a good community.

Matt,
Well spoken!
Although I've written a simple renderer from scratch (not anywhere NEAR what
blender's does...) I don't feel I could do this, but I do believe Jae prolly
could.
I believe she was looking to make a node interface to blender's existing
renderer. Basically use the nodes to call m

Brecht,
What Jae was specifically talking about while discussing this with me was to
be able to do just about whatever you can do through the assembly
instructions on modern GPUs, but via nodes.
She was thinking about allowing a node setup (maybe this is already done
through several (some WIP) no
Hi,
I don't really understand what that means, a node based version of the
render pipeline. There already exists shader and compositing nodes,
what would this do specifically?

Brecht also has a WIP shader node patch that he demo'd a while back on

Guys, this is awesome!
Could you and Lahmar tell us a bit more about your school and this project?
Maybe not on this list, so we don't clobber it with non-development topics,
but you could write a blog post or a brief article for BlenderNation or
something like that...
thank you and ha
Hi Brendon,
The BI address is in every email signature I send to this list. :)
I've seen more people leave and come back, I understand working in
this volunteer driven environment isn't always easy.
However, you can always consult me personally when you consider to be
not treated well. Such

Hey,
I am really sorry to hear that!
But I also have to say, that I was not aware of an internal conflict here?!
I would like to hear mindrones point.
I am sure there is no need for such conflicts.
Best regards and thanks for all your work Brendon!

Hi all,
I'm writing this email primarily on behalf of Jaevixa McNomera, as right NOW
she's in the hospital and doesn't have THAT much access to a PC. That being
said, this is also something I'd like to work on. :)

Hi,
It's not very likely to get into trunk, it's unfinished. In
particular, there's problems with raytracing and shadows, that would
need a lot more work. Other render branch features are more stable, so
when a merge happens, I'll focus on those.

These days I see a lot of things that are not bugs but actually new features

having assigned modifiers) so I have to ask is this intentional before I

Hi,
For a scolar projet, I have to study a bug in blender. I chose this one (

before it has been resolved.
I studied some parts of the code (screen-edit.c, wm_files.c,

Hi,
for a project in my school, I have to study and try to correct a bug in
blender. I am interested in the bug mentionned here :

Mr. Ton Roosendaal said he is going to fix it. Can I help on doing this ?
