After a careful review by Campbell and Sergey, and discussing it with Dalai, we
concluded that it's better to apply the branch in master right after the
release, and have the full 2 month release cycle for it to mature.
We're already late with our planning - and last minute big branch

Monica Zoppe, the speaker requested certain features. I have an
appropriate background and am interested in this.
Are feature additions for BioBlender (potentially not Blender proper)

Not speaking with any authority, my guess is that it's unlikely. Since
BioBlender is not a core part of Blender and the target audience for it is
relatively small, the benefit to Blender community as a whole is
unfortunately small.
