All the builds are available now at
http://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.79/
Now we need to wait for mirrors to pick up the new builds, and then web
team would need to update the download page.

All the builds are up at their final destination.
We need to give some hours to let mirrors to sync, then we can modify the
download page. Release candidate builds will be removed once download page
is updated.

I'm one of the developers responsible for snapd at Canonical (
https://snapcraft.io), and would just like to let you know that on Ubuntu
or other Linux distributions that accept classic snaps, installing 2.79 may
now be done with:
sudo snap instal

Term 'portable' was replaced by '.zip'.
Re hiding of other platforms, the platform is automatically detected.
So if you're running 32bit Linux, the big download button should
download Blender for 32bit Linux.
