Don't really see a reason for the change. In the production you usually
have a dedicated steps which are to be done in the display space (for
example, grading). And those steps are not gonna to be all of a sudden
moved from one display device to another one, that'd ruin everyone's day.

There is something thing that looks error-prone with the current color
storage scheme: Any colors stored as PROP_GAMMA will be stored in the space
of the device the file was saved in. This will invalidate those if the file
