Hi all, I have submitted two new patches to the tracker for review:
[#29680] SPH Fluid Density texture http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=29680&group_id=9&atid=127 Like Point Density, but renders actual SPH field variables. Can be used to visualise the density field of an SPH particle system. [#29681] Physically-based SPH solver http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=29681&group_id=9&atid=127 Adds a new SPH solver that is more physically accurate (the old solver is still available and can be chosen at run time). These ones may need a bit more work before they can be accepted into trunk - see the tickets for details. But they are functional, and as always I'm keen to hear feedback.
