It appears to me that providing the debug libraries as download
is better than letting everybody rebuild them even if well described.
Maybe if the subversion repository would become too big,
then distribute the debug libraries in a separate repository,
on git for example ?

OpenCOLLADA builds fine with the CMake files provided by them.
As for the debug libs, ton said there is enough space on SVN ;)
I'll have to upload them slowly one by one anyway, because my internet
connection is very slow ;)

You won't be able to build a debug binary without the debug libs. But I can
