insert citations from a bibtex file? or linking texshop to bibdesk?

You can try and install the input manager, located in BibDesk.app/
Do you mean a script that would autocomplete your cite-keys while
typing? Then you should have a look at the discussion about the input
manager in the list's archives. Depending on your version of OS X you
might get what you want.

click to rename a field group, but that doesn't seem to work anymore.
Hitting return or using the rename contextual menu does, though. +1

Does renaming work if you click, wait, then click again? Apple changed
tableview editing in Leopard so it's similar to Finder's filename editing
(unfortunately...I've always thought that was a huge usability mistake). It's
caused problems with template name editing, too.
