Sorry for replying to my own post. But there is something wrong here. 1. it does not just happen with today's nightly 2. it's not about crossref indeed, I can not even edit the book I want to crossref from anymore will look into it some more and report back when I can describe the problem better.

Aargh! Apple's CFStringTokenizer functions don't have the correct attribute set (AVAILABLE_MAC_OS_X_VERSION_10_5_AND_LATER), so apparently they're not weakly linked as they should be. Thanks for pointing that out. If you revert to a few nightly builds ago it might be okay. At present it will o
