It’s been a while since I’ve used BibDesk, but I think the greeted-out fields
are those not defined as required for the record type. I think there’s a
preference for that.

Dear all,
after the latest release (Version 1.6.21 (4769)), the text in the fields of the
editor window is sometimes greyed out. A click in a field changes that, either
for all fields or just a few.
Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a preference I could change?
