Quickly coming back to this earlier thread about adding Keyboard shortcuts
for sorting by a specific column.
I just learned about a poorly or not documented OS X feature that it is in
fact possible to assign non-ambiguous keyboard shortcuts by specifying the
entire path in the System Preferences in this form:
"View->Columns->Year"
for example.

Would this make it worth to consider adding a Group Sorting menu item?

(Or, alternatively, is there an Apple Script solution that could achieve
this?)
