Hi all,
I installed the lastest bind software with github and tested the EDNS features.
But the edns doesn't work. The result of 'any' view is returned, not the
result of desired view.
The configuration looks like:
acl testacl {ecs 10.1.1.0/24;ecs 192.168.2.0/24;}; And the testing client i
Dear all,
After 'rndc stats' is run, I found that the number of "IPv4 requests
received" is far more than the request number in queries log file.
Those clients not in the trusted ACL are not written into queries log file.
Can anyone tell me how to record all queries?
Best regards
Dear all,
Anyone know how to configure muliti-view and non-view in one bind server?

I tried to configure it, but failed.
Following configuration is added into named.conf, but it doesn't work. Note

Dear all,
Can bind support forwarding zone to another DNS server? In my testing, for
loacl name servers, it can. But for authority name servers, it can't.
I have a authorative DNS server which are authorative for the domain

Dear sir/madam,
Before Bind consults authority NS, does it access /etc/hosts? In my testing,
it does not even seem to access /etc/hosts. But someone tells me Bind can
access /etc/hosts first. Can you pls tell me how to config Bind to access
/etc/hosts fist?

Dear all,
Does bind support backup nameserver? This nameserver isn't regeristered and not
accessed in normal situation. Only when all authority NSs is down, this backup
nameserver will be accessed by Local DNS server.
How to configure this backup NS and how to configure in the local DNS server
there is a failure on a box it can
eventually be tried again and make back into the top position.

If there is a list of NS records, the local name server uses the RTT (round
trip time) algorithm to find the fatest, and queries that server.
But I found it's not right. In the testing, the local name server doesn't query
the fastest authority name server. Some one tells me that if the local nam

Are you trying to override the IP address locally, or are you just trying to
get the correct value into cache?
