Well it looks like the biojava cvs server is at least working, as I can
get to it from the link on the biojava home page. However, when I try to
login from the command line to cvs, I get
cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.open-bio.org(155.94.54.82):2401
failed: Connection timed out
