The reason for choosing the vrrp address seems to be logical as it is on
IP in our owned range and not any of a transit.
I'd not see a regular way to setup such readonly monitor link.
i'll send you the configs of the 2 iBGP routers, and my monitor bird
config .
Thanks in advance

as at least one neighbor AS comes trough
an expensive bgp proto and a cheap one.
How does one do this, or how would i do this?
Currently i needed to get the job done, and created multiple bgp_out_??
filters, and used them in the bgp proto definitions.
Thanks in advance,

/bird-1.2.2/obj'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Tried the ppa-source too, but same result.
Anyone an idea:
1)what may go wrong causing the bird6 crash on startup?
2) what to do to get bird compiled from source.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Starting to configure bird6 for iBGP and ran in a repeatable crash

allowed as filter option.
Can this be done?
Thanks,

Hello Bird-users.
sorry, overlooked the where option, so it is possible to apply a function.

which is also the latest on bird.network.cz.
as the 1.1.5-1 is almost a year old i can imagine it is preferred to have
a later version installed.
has anyone an (strong) opininion/advice what to take for a new bgp setup?

Hello,
Thanks a lot!
the seemless upgrade from 1.1.5-ubuntu-10.04 to 1.2.2-ppa resolved also
my situation where MED and/or Local pref seemed to be ignored.
Thanks again!
