Spring arrivals are multiplying quickly with the

Killdeer, Grackles, Robins have all appeared in
the past few days.

A male Belted Kingfisher was spotted North of Campbellville on Friday March
5th.
It was sitting on a power line over looking a small body of open water on
Campbellville Side Road and Campbell Ave.
I drove by today and did not see him.

The snow revived a love for viewing bird and mammal tracks along the
pathways leading to Cranberry Marsh from Hall's Rd. today, March 8.
Along with the evidence of many songbirds were White-tailed Deer, Squirrels
and Ring-necked Pheasant.

When reporting Snow Geese, it's important to state the percentages of white
and blue morphs. Two recent posts have mentioned fairly large flocks of
Snow Geese seen near Hamilton and Port Dover. Not long ago only the Lesser
Snow Goose subspecies was seen in Ontario. In recent years,
On Sun. March 7 at 4:30 p.m. while driving near Port Dover, we observed a
flock of approx. 150 Snow Geese flying over Haldimand-Norfolk Rd 3 (near
intersection of Haldimand-Norfolk Rd 5).
