Birders
Around noon yesterday March 9th at the marsh boardwalk entrance, Jim McCoy
and I spotted a Eastern Phoebe. We then walked along the road to De Laurier
trail seeing 30+ Robins, Brown Creepers, Red Bellied Woodpeckers and a Cedar
Waxwing. In De Laurier trail we saw a Eastern Meadowlark.

The Peregrine pair from the east tower of the Clarica Centre (Bloor and
Islington, Etobicoke) have been increasingly active around their nest
box for the last two weeks. Today at 5:35PM we witnessed them mating on
a ledge of the condominium building immediately to the east.

On a birding foray to Long Point this morning - Dan Salisbury, Ron Scovell
and I - saw an adult male Eurasian Wigeon among a group of Mallards, in the
first lagoon at the Townsend Sewage Lagoons.
Later, we had a Peregrine fly over Brown's Waterfowl Sanctuary near Long
Point.

Lake Cemetery. I would call it a Greater White-fronted Goose but to quote
