A RARE BIRD for the KINGSTON REGION
Bruce Ripley heard and saw a TUFTED TITMOUSE near the mail boxes by The
Point Rd. and in the Cartwright Point East area this morning at about 8:15
a.m.
Bruce picked me up to return to the area and we both had a good look at the
bird on

An Adult Golden Eagle flew over Dundas this morning
between 10 and 12 at the Olympic Arena.

A Turkey Vulture was observed for several hours over the north of Hall's Rd.
today-Mar.29. To the east were 3 male N.Harriers over the fields.
A Ring-necked Pheasant was seen and heard near the feeding station along
Hall's Rd.

Among the more than 1650 raptors of 10 species counted today, March 29,
2004 at Beamer Memorial Conservation Area in Grimsby, ON by members of the
Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch were 46 Rough-legged Hawks. This total
shatters that previous high one day total of 24 Rough-legs set on April 2,
1984.
