This evening I had a Clay-coloured Sparrow at Lakeside Park, Mississauga.
Look carefully on the newly cut grass just west of the parking lot, near
Lakeshore and the creek; it's on the lawn with numerous White-throats and Palm
Warblers.
There are plenty of warblers at this site as well
Birders,
The adult Laughing Gull that was found yesterday at the Shorebird Habitat
has not been relocated despite a fair search of the surroundings areas of
Hillman Marsh today. Shorebirds and gulls are now spread throughout the
pelee birding area due to flooding in a number of fields.
Hi,
A flock of 35 Brant flew west along the Lake Ontario shore past
Thickson's Woods about 7:45 p.m. Perhaps a dozen flocks of White-winged
Scoters followed the same route. Yesterday at about the same time two adult
Lttle Gulls flew westward.
A major fall-out of land birds occured
I found a whip-poor-will resting in the pines on the east side of the
evergreen bowl (just south of Lakeshore east of the main entrance). It was
about 1/2 way down the set of pines about 5m off the ground.
