I've received a call from my non-birder brother-in-law who is working in the
Phelpston area (north of Barrie). He is working on an Enbridge Gas pipeline
and has noticed a bird unfamiliar to him in the farmers fields. By his
excellent description they sound to be Sandhill Cranes, by his description
A single Great Egret was in the centre of Rattray marsh about 10 this
morning. Nothing else of interest around.
Easiest way in to the marsh area is to exit south from Lakeshore Rd. in
Mississauga at Bexhill (between Mississauga Rd. and Clarkson Rd.). Drive to
