I was told by a reliable birder today that he has been hearing
clay-colored sparrows singing in the Calf Pasture area of the park. I went
over there, and listened for a time, but heard none. This is the area
where they have been located in the past.

some sightings for him.
On Saturday, he had a 3rd year California Gull at Fish Point at the tip
of Pelee Island. It was with 2000+ other gulls. He also had a late Dunlin
and a Common Moorhen at Lighthouse Point.

Many were singing, some carrying food as an indirect proof of nesting.
Also Grasshopper Sparrows, lots of Field Sparrows (carrying food) and Savannah
Sparrows.

After spying the Dickcissels today we took the kids over to Pearson to see the
Antonov 124, a HUGE freighter parked at the west cargo area. Driving out we
found an Upland Sandpiper, Bartramia longicauda.
