The non-winter that has characterized conditions at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park for much of January has continued until the present,
with only temporary returns to more normal conditions. Whether or not
this is attributable to global warming, its effects on the bird life
support the conclusions

Robert Horvath just called in (2pm) to let me know that the Slaty-backed
Gull is now at the Leamignton Dock. It was on the ice, near the Pelee
Island Ferry and has been moving back and forth from the marina side of the
Dock to the Seacliff Beach side of the dock.

I've had a couple reports come in this morning regarding the Slaty-backed
Gull. It was found again today at 10:30 am - this time on the beach at the
north end of Hillman Marsh. There is a parking area at the north end of
the marsh (along the lake) - this is where people were viewing the
