The rather dramatic onset of typical winter conditions this week at
Presqu'ile Provincial Park has been reflected in the bird life of the
Park, but more by way of re-arranging the birds' distribution than by

had a routine of morning and afternoon feeds, but with the cold snap it has
been at the feeder alot more often each day.

Cold weather finally brought some action this week. Birds at most feeding
stations has almost tripled in number in some cases, and even birding afield
has been more rewarding. One

There where three snow geese (one immature and two adult) at Pringle Creek
Tuesday afternoon. Also there was a single male Northern Pintail. All were on
the east side of the bridge.
To get to Pringle Creek, exit at Brock Rd. and drive south to the bridge.

There appears to have been limited success in finding any this week, but
Spruce Bog Boardwalk and Opeongo Road near the locked gate are still
the best places to search.
